The Watter system
One disinfection device, many hygiene solutions.
The Watter system has been developed to produce a sustainable disinfectant on location from electricity, salt and water only. This disinfectant makes pathogenic bacteria, biofilm, fungi, yeasts and viruses harmless, without the use of harmful chemicals. The disinfectant is biodegradable and leaves no residues.
Watter is more effective than most traditional disinfectants and safe for humans, animals and the environment. We believe it is important that resources are used correctly and that the focus is on good guidance. By offering the Watter system, users become independent of the supplier and we prevent under- and overdosing.
How does it work?
The Watter system uses a technology called electrochemical activation (ECA). In the machine, salt and water are electrolysed and as a result a disinfectant with more than 20 active substances is created. Due to the variety of active substances, the concentration can be kept very low without loss of effectiveness. This means that much better results are achieved with much less disinfectant.
This makes it possible to disinfect effectively without health risks. Consider, for example, the drinking water supply for animals, process water in the food industry or legionella and biofilm control in medical facilities.
Watter has been successfully tested against:
Proven to be effective
The operation of the Watter system has been extensively tested by TNO and other renowned scientific institutes. The international EN protocols were used in these tests.
All our solutions have been independently tested for efficacy in accordance with standard (EN) tests and are suitable, among other things, for the disinfection of:
Bacteria (EN 1276)
Yeasts and fungi (EN 1650)
Viruses (EN 14476)
Surfaces (EN 13697)
Spaces (EN 14349)
Medical instruments (EN 14561)
Water systems (EN 13623)
Watter is officially registered as an active substance and product supplier on the European Article 95 list for disinfectants (PT1-5). Inclusion in the article 95 list is a condition for compliance with European Biocide Legislation.
